Doula support is of great value to many families, both partners and pregnant clients appreciate the support offered. A doula should help you have the type of birth that you want. They should also help partners to provide support and love to their partners.

Investigating Doulas, thanks
depends on the Doula, do a search for your local Doula group on Yahoo, (for instance the one where I live in cincinnatiDoulas)
you can check out the websites of the accrediting organizations
www.alace.org
www.dona.org
www.cappa.net
www.doula.com (this is not associated with any 1 organization)
I typically charge a flat rate, you can never predict what the length of a woman's labour is going to be, so it takes weight off mom to be's mind, so she not thinking how much is this costing me, while in labour!!
P.S. I agree with the previous poster, you can find doulas in training or needing births for certification for nothing or a nominal fee (like gas and food only)
bellywomen.net is a GREAT site but unfortunatly the listings are not working at this time
I would like to find 1 who is training cos i heard they would do it for free. I really haven’t got the money this close to xmas to afford a proper one. I found and was given some good sites but they don’t work in my area x
yeah by Birmingham x
Are you in the UK?
If so which part..
ETA ~ OK not sure which sites you had but heres what I found hope it helps..if not let me know and I will do another search for you!
